Meet the Chef & Owner

Sergio Valencia
aka “Chacho”

Food is such an important part that most conversations become filled with memories of traditional dishes or ideas for modern ones. My passion for food and cooking comes from my early childhood experiences in Mexico: helping on my grandfather's ranch, milking cows, making cheese and cooking with the whole family. We migrated to the U.S. with my parents and siblings when I was nine years old, leaving behind my grandparents and the ranch life. However, the seeds were planted and that would lead to a fulfilling career as a chef. Having traveled to many countries, my cuisine ranges from Tacos to Paellas, from American to Thai, from South America and the Caribbean over to Europe.

At Chacho’s Catering we serve anywhere from an intimate 10 people to 200+ people weddings and winery events. We focus on big and little events, multi courses, wine pairing dinners and more. We don’t have a set menu because I believe everyone has different tastes and preferences. We prefer to get to know my clients and design a menu to their liking.
